Holy Baptism
In Baptism we are made a part of God's family.
When Jesus had risen from the dead, he instructed his disciples, saying,
"All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age." Matt 28:18-20 (NRSV)
As Christians we are called to follow that command. It is a joy for us to do so.
REQUIREMENTS:
COST: Baptism is a free gift of God's grace so there is no charge. We do invite you to make a Thank-Offering on the day of your child's baptism.
GODPARENTS
The church requires that godparents be themselves baptised (or christened) in a Christian church in order to be able to make the promises of baptism on a godchild’s behalf.
Godparents should be of an age at which they can make these promises for a godchild. For this reason they must be at least 16 years of age.
